Yes! Guests can join meetings without signing up. They just need:

  • The meeting link (sent by host)
  • A supported web browser
  • Optional: Meeting password if set by host

Guests will be asked to enter their name before joining the meeting.

  1. Sign up or log in to your Taro account
  2. Click "Create Workspace" from the workspace selector
  3. Enter your organization name and details
  4. Select your industry (for discount eligibility)
  5. Start your 14-day free trial!

You can create multiple workspaces for different teams or projects.

Yes! You can:

  • Be a member of multiple workspaces
  • Own multiple workspaces
  • Switch between workspaces easily from the workspace selector
  • Have different roles in different workspaces (e.g., Owner in one, Member in another)

Role Permissions
Owner Full access to everything including billing and workspace deletion
Admin Manage users, teams, settings (except billing and deletion)
Member Create meetings, participate, view recordings
Guest Join meetings only (cannot create or access workspace)

  1. Go to Workspace → Members
  2. Click "Invite Member"
  3. Enter their email address
  4. Select their role (Admin, Member, or Guest)
  5. Optionally assign them to teams
  6. Click "Send Invitation"

They will receive an email with an invitation link valid for 7 days.

Yes! To transfer ownership:

  1. Go to Workspace → Settings → General
  2. Scroll to "Danger Zone"
  3. Click "Transfer Ownership"
  4. Select the new owner (must be an existing Admin)
  5. Confirm the transfer

Warning: This action is irreversible. The new owner will have full control including billing.

We accept the following payment methods:

Yes! We offer two ways to try Taro:

  1. Free Plan: Use Taro forever with basic features (unlimited 1-on-1 meetings, 40-minute group meetings)
  2. 14-Day Free Trial: Try any paid Workspace plan free for 14 days. No credit card required.

You can cancel anytime during the trial with no charges.

When creating a Workspace, select your industry to automatically apply discounts:

Yes! You can upgrade or downgrade your plan anytime:

  • Upgrade: Takes effect immediately. You'll be charged the prorated difference.
  • Downgrade: Takes effect at the end of your current billing period. No refund for remaining time.

To change plans: Go to Workspace → Billing → Change Plan

After your 14-day free trial:

  1. You'll receive email reminders 7 days and 1 day before trial expiration
  2. If you added a payment method, you'll be automatically charged for your selected plan
  3. If no payment method, your workspace will be downgraded to the Free plan
  4. You can cancel anytime before the trial ends with no charges

30-Day Money-Back Guarantee: If you're not satisfied with your first paid subscription, request a full refund within 30 days.

Other refund scenarios:

  • No refunds for partial billing periods
  • No refunds for add-on purchases
  • Downgrades: Access continues until end of period (no refund)
  • Account violations: No refund

  • End-to-End Encryption (E2EE): All video/audio is encrypted in transit

Yes. Taro is fully GDPR compliant:

  • Right to delete your data (account deletion)

Yes. To delete your account:

  1. Go to Profile → Settings → Account
  2. Scroll to "Delete Account"
  3. Confirm deletion

What gets deleted:

  • Your profile information
  • All recordings you own
  • All transcripts
  • All meeting history

Warning: This action is permanent and cannot be undone. Data is deleted within 30 days.

Taro uses multiple global data centers:

  • Primary: Africa (Lagos, Nigeria)
  • Secondary: Europe (Frankfurt, Germany)
  • Tertiary: North America (Virginia, USA)

Enterprise customers can choose their preferred data region. Meetings automatically route to the nearest server for optimal performance.


7 Technical & Troubleshooting

Minimum Requirements:

  • Browser: Chrome 74+, Firefox 66+, Safari 12+, Edge 79+
  • Bandwidth: 1.5 Mbps download / 1 Mbps upload (for HD video)
  • RAM: 4GB minimum, 8GB recommended
  • Processor: Intel i3 or equivalent (dual-core 2.0GHz+)
  • Webcam: 720p or higher recommended
  • Microphone: Any USB or built-in mic

Try these steps:

  1. Allow browser permissions for camera/mic (check address bar)
  2. Check if another app is using the camera/mic (Zoom, Skype, etc.)
  3. Restart your browser
  4. Check device settings (Windows Settings / Mac System Preferences)
  5. Update browser to latest version
  6. Try a different browser (Chrome recommended)

To improve video/audio quality:

  • Check your internet speed (run speed test)
  • Close unnecessary apps/tabs
  • Use wired connection instead of WiFi
  • Disable HD video if bandwidth is limited
  • Turn off virtual background (uses extra processing)
  • Ask others to mute when not speaking

Yes! Taro works on mobile browsers:

  • iOS: Safari 12+ on iPhone/iPad
  • Android: Chrome 74+ on Android 6+

For the best mobile experience, install Taro as a Progressive Web App (PWA) by clicking "Add to Home Screen" in your browser menu.

Yes. Taro uses WebRTC which typically works through most firewalls. If you experience issues:

  • Ask your IT team to whitelist: *.taromeet.com
  • Ensure ports 443 (TCP) and 3478 (UDP) are open
  • Check if your firewall blocks WebRTC connections
